Who we are

This website belongs to GuruAlpha. For any question about your information, email info@gurualpha.com.

What we collect

Through our forms we collect only what you type into them. There are three.

• The proposal form: your name, your business name, your WhatsApp number or email address (or both), the services you pick, where the business is, when you want to start, and anything you write in the message box.
• The free audit form: your business name, one link (your website, Instagram or Google Maps listing), your WhatsApp number, and your email address if you give it.
• The question form: your name, the email address or WhatsApp number you want the reply on, and your question.

With each form we also record which page of the site you sent it from (including any campaign tags in its web address, such as utm_source), when you sent it, and the country your connection comes from, as our hosting provider reports it. Apart from the visit counts described under Analytics, nothing else is collected through the site: there are no accounts to sign up for, no cookies and no tracking pixels.

If a form can’t reach us because of a connection problem and you press “Try again”, your own browser keeps a copy of what you typed until the page reloads and fills the form back in, then deletes it. That copy never leaves your device.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to answer your question, to prepare a proposal if you asked for one, and to run the audit you asked for on public pages.

Where it goes

When you send a form, your details are saved in our own enquiries database, which runs on Neon, a database service, in Singapore. Only signed-in members of our team can open it. Next to your enquiry we keep our own notes, its status (for example contacted or won), which of us is looking after it, and a history of what we did about it.

When email alerts are switched on, our team gets an email about each new enquiry with what you typed. It is sent through the mail server of our own email account or, if that isn’t set up, through Resend, an email delivery service. If we have automatic confirmations switched on and you gave us an email address, you also get one email saying your message arrived. When we answer you by email from our enquiries system, it goes out through the same mail server, and we keep a note of the subject, the address it went to and when it was sent next to your enquiry. Where it is switched on, your details also go to LeadForge, our own platform, which is where we prepare audits.

The company that hosts this website processes each request to the site and keeps standard server logs.

IP addresses

When you send a form, our server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address in memory, never the address itself, for up to ten minutes after your last request, to stop the same form being sent again and again. We don’t write it to a file or a database. The hosting provider’s standard server logs can include IP addresses.

Our visit counter also uses your IP address for a moment, to make the daily code described under Analytics, and keeps a scrambled form of it in memory for about a minute to stop the counter being flooded. Neither is written to a file or a database.

Analytics

We count visits ourselves, without cookies and without an analytics company. When you open a page, your browser tells our server which page it was, the website that sent you here (we keep only its domain, such as google.com) and any campaign tags in the address (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign). We also count clicks on a few links and buttons: “Book a strategy call”, “Get a free audit”, WhatsApp and email links, and links to other websites, where we keep only the other site’s domain. Our server adds the country our hosting provider reports, and the kind of device and browser, worked out from what your browser says about itself.

To tell visitors apart without a cookie, our server mixes your IP address and browser details with a secret code that changes every day, and keeps only the scrambled result. That lets us count one visitor per day. It doesn’t tell us who you are, and the records we keep don’t link one day’s visits to the next. We never store your IP address or your full browser details. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we count nothing. These counts are kept in our own database on Neon, in Singapore, and deleted after 13 months.

The free audit

LeadForge, the audit platform we built, reads only public pages and follows each site’s robots.txt. We don’t log in to, post from or message from anyone’s accounts.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, with our notes on them, until we delete them. Nothing deletes them automatically yet: email us and we delete yours. Deleting an enquiry removes it from our database together with our notes and its history. Our record that it was deleted keeps only what kind of enquiry it was, its status and the date it arrived, nothing that identifies you. Email alerts and replies stay in our mailboxes until we delete them too.

Visit counts are deleted automatically after 13 months.

Your rights

Changes to this policy

When what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top shows the last change.
