This feature, called ‘Pause and Resume Voice Recordings’, has been released for specific beta accounts, but users with version 184.108.40.206 may also benefit.
According to the report, WhatsApp has introduced this feature for iOS and desktop users some time ago. However, Android users have so far been deprived of this feature.
After the new update, users will be able to watch the sound waves while recording voice notes (view form) as well as pause them in the middle.
According to a screenshot published in the report, the pause button can be seen in the voice note recording of WhatsApp. By tapping this button, users will be able to pause and resume the recording.
WhatsApp recently announced significant changes to the voice note feature for Android users. One of the main changes is the ability to play voice notes directly from the notification tray. This means that users no longer have to open the WhatsApp app to listen to a voice note. Instead, they can simply tap on the notification to play the voice note. This can be very useful when you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to open the app.
Another change is the ability to fast forward or rewind a voice note by simply sliding your finger across the screen. This allows users to quickly navigate to a specific part of the voice note without having to manually press the play or pause button multiple times.
Additionally, WhatsApp has also added the ability to share voice notes directly from the notification tray. This means that users can share a voice note with their contacts without having to open the WhatsApp app. This can be very useful when you want to quickly share a voice note with someone without having to go through the hassle of opening the app and navigating through different menus.
For example, if you’re at a party and someone tells you a joke and you want to share it with your friends, you can just tap the share button on the voice note notification, select the contact and it will be shared immediately.
It is important to note that these changes are available for Android users only, and it’s not clear if or when they will be made available to iOS users.
